On the 11–13 of May in Nałęczów there was held a jubilee X International Scientific Conference “E-economy, E-society in the Central and Eastern Europe”. The Conference was organized by: Department of Social Microstructures and Contemporary Sociological Theories of Pope John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (KUL), and Institute of Sociology of Pope John Paul II State School of Higher Vocational Education in Biała Podlaska (PWSZ). The Conference was inaugurated in the Malachowski’s Palace with a concert of classical music performed by artists of the Musical Theatre in Lublin. Next, an opening speech was delivered by the Chairman of the Scientific Committee and, simultaneously, an originator and initiator of the Conference – Prof. Dr. Sławomir Partycki who welcomed all participants, introduced guests and summarized the scope and traditions of the Conference.
