ABSTRACT
The purpose of this article is to discuss the concept of supply chain and issues related to its management. Theoretical basis of work has been developed on the basis of the world and Polish literature on the functioning of supply chains and networks, the basics of creating the concept of chains and its changes over the years. The article presents the example of a company functioning in Polish agribusiness, which has created a network model of organization. The company as a network coordinator performs several basic functions, directing other actions by ordering their execution to other participants in the network. In this case, the company organizes, coordinates and manages the core processes in the network structure by building partnerships, as well as through the use of different forms of trade agreements with both the suppliers of capital goods, raw materials and services and the entities involved in the marketing of goods. Apart from the functions of management, coordination and control of the operation of the entities in the network, the company focuses on the processes of formation and development of new products and their marketing.
