ABSTRACT
The main objective of the research study was to evaluate the use of the concept of marketing by local territorial units (municipalities) and to assess the role of territorial marketing in strengthening their competitive position in the region. The practical aim of the study was selecting methods and marketing of products that have a strong impact on improving the competitiveness of the local government units.
